Under the aegis of IMS CRC, various Management events are conducted to develop the all-round personality of students by making them personally and professionally updated for the corporate requirements. CRC broadly conducts the placement activities wherein it covers Pre-Placement Preparedness, live project work, summer internship, Industrial visits, corporate talks and Final Placement. As part of the selection procedure, many organisations conduct written tests. The students are assessed based on their verbal aptitude, quantitative aptitude, problem solving skills.
Many companies conduct the Group discussion to filter the candidates. A group of students is created that is moderated by a judge. A common topic is given for the group to discuss. Once the discussions begin, students are judged on their knowledge, communication skills, confidence, leadership skills, and listening and retaining capabilities.
Post Group discussion the shortlisted candidates advance to the personal interview rounds. The students are evaluated based on their domain knowledge, interpersonal skills, leadership abilities, soft skills etc.
Summer Training 10 weeks Summer Project constitutes an integral part of the PGDM Curriculum and is valued for its relevance in Management education and its application. The Corporate Resource Centre facilitates in locating suitable projects in different organizations. The companies discuss with the IMS faculty and CRC Team about the projects for which they would like to engage the student for training. The student carefully picks up the projects and they have to accept the first offer they get. As a part of project work students are required to submit a report. The presentation made by them for the organization forms the basis for the evaluation of the Summer Project.
Live Project is a small duration projects providing experience to the students of working on a business/research/academic project work of their choice on any industry-related problems. The project provides a platform to apply their learning from the program as well as exposure to other preferred functional areas. It provides opportunities to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios fostering new practical skills and problem-solving abilities with assigned industry/faculty mentors.
